Gyrofocus

This seminal design, created in 1968, was the first suspended, 360° pivoting model. Its easy maintenance and simple installation have all contributed to make the Gyrofocus the signature model and symbol of Focus.

This international classic has been voted “world’s most beautiful object” at the 2009 Pulchra Design Awards, against over 100 prestigious competitors.
It has been exhibited in the Bordeaux Contemporary Art Museum (1996) , in the National Centre of Contem- porary Art in Grenoble (1997) and in New York’s Guggenheim Museum (1998).

The Gyrofocus is available in 3 energy types : 

• Ecodesign Wood: in compliance with Ecodesign 2022. The heart of the fireplace is protected by circular glass panels, but it has not lost any of its original attributes: its legendary design and 360° swivel.
   
• Gaz: Led through a hidden insulated conduit, the gas – natural gas or propane – creates genuine flames in the ceramic logs. Operated with a remote control, odourless and without particle emission, this icon finds its place inside individuals’ homes as well as hotels and restaurants.
   
• Bioethanol: This innovation was developed in partnership with Ignisial Paris, the French specialist in top-of-the-range ethanol burners, allowing an autonomous version of this iconic model, operated with an electric battery. The completely safe electronic burner is operated by remote control. Smokeless combustion avoids the need for an external flue (if situation allows). This makes it possible to install the Gyrofocus in spaces that do not meet all the technical requirements necessary for a conventional wood or gas fireplace.
