Snug lounge chair

Like a cosy cocoon! This rattan lounge lives up to its name, with that tempting rounded shape that invites you to sit back and recharge your batteries. It is by the young Filipino designer Dennis Abalos, who drew inspiration from the organic, enveloping form of the beanbag. It took a lot of time, with many prototypes in different materials, including one made of fibreglass with flexible slats moulded to fit the contours of the body. The meeting with the Feelgood Designs teams was decisive in the choice of rattan, a material with three major assets : lightness, flexibility and solidity.

Each chair is handmade by craftsmen who have mastered the art of weaving to perfection. The rattan is woven directly onto a fine stainless-steel frame, which allows the craftsmen to play with volumes and perspectives. The ethereal, sculpturing structure follows the curves of the body, which seems to levitate. A native of the Philippines, Dennis Abalos asserts the importance of traditional craft techniques in the conception of creative designer furniture.
