Banc Dendro Light in oak

The Dendro Light bench in solid oak is entirely made in France in our Saulnot workshop (70) as part of an eco-design approach, aiming to valorize wood slabs, the outer planks of tree trunks usually unused in art cabinetry and previously used as firewood to heat our premises.

This modern design bench is composed of a wood slab as the central piece, assembled with four turned legs made from wood scraps from our workshop. The rounded part under the seat is delicately crafted by our cabinetmakers to bring out five facets, giving the bench a distinctly contemporary character and style.

At Delavelle, all our furniture is crafted using traditional cabinetry methods to provide impeccable finishes. This approach also allows us flexibility to customize our furniture in terms of wood type, length, and finishes upon request.

In its standard version, the Dendro bench is offered in solid oak with a natural oil finish to preserve the original beauty of the wood, available in lengths of 60, 120, 180, or 240 cm.

Exceptional natural finish

Made of solid oak, the Dendro bench is treated only with natural Rubio Oil + 2C Smoke 5% oil to showcase the natural beauty of the wood.

The wood remains free from harmful substances and retains all its excellent properties. It breathes, absorbs moisture, and gradually releases it into the surrounding air, ensuring a healthy and pleasant ambient environment.

The final sanding and oil application are done by hand to ensure impeccable quality and touch. The oil used complies with the EN 71-3 toy safety standard for children.

PEFC Certified Local Wood

The oak comes from within a 15 km radius of our workshop in Saulnot (70) and is PEFC certified (Pan European Forest Certification), just like our sawmill and workshop. This certification ensures that the wood originates from sustainably managed forests.

Our wood supplies undergo regular checks by an independent organization.

Characteristics

Environmentally Friendly

The Dendro Light solid oak bench was created with an upcycling approach to valorize the wood offcuts, which are challenging to use in traditional woodworking.

Furthermore, the entire design is conceived to minimize its impact on the environment:

• Repairable, as natural wood can be sanded and restored.

Indoor Air Quality

We carefully choose natural materials for the manufacturing of all our furniture:

• Decrease indoor air pollution.
• Absence of harmful substances.
• Natural oil finish without volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
• Wood glue without formaldehydes.

Maintenance

The Dendro Light solid oak bench is easy to maintain, like all Delavelle furniture:

• Regular cleaning with a damp sponge or cloth.
• Periodically apply nourishing oil.
• If needed, surface scratches on the wood can be easily repaired with light sanding.
