3 questions for Maison A&G, an architecture and interior design firm

You are involved in the exhibition, “Do not disturb, a tribute to privacy”, in the Exclusive Collection area at EquipHotel 2026. What inspired your scenography?

Maison A&G: We have focused our capsule on rejuvenation and reconnecting with oneself. Visitors will be able to walk through this capsule, as we have designed an entrance and an exit. The centrepiece of the scenography is a round bed topped by a hanging dome. This is all set within a very enveloping shell, where curves and soft ecru and powdered tones dominate. For visitors, the experience will be, above all, sensory.

In your opinion, how can the use of fine craftsmanship be a key to positioning a hotel, or even become a feature that sets it apart?

Maison A&G: Fine craftsmanship is a way of personalising a space through bespoke design and other unique pieces. In our projects, we happily work with glassmakers, metalworkers, stained-glass artists and even wallpaper manufacturers who can match colours to a specific paint. Our agency is an ambassador of the EPV label (living heritage company), so we work with exceptional craftsmen and women, and brands, whose expertise and precision ensure overall consistency and long-lasting quality. What’s more, we find craftsmen and women suited to both classic and contemporary styles. The EPV network offers a very rich pool of talent and expertise.

What is your view of the luxury hotel sector in 2026?

Maison A&G: Beware of false luxury! This year at EquipHotel, one of our aims will be to help visitors to understand that we coordinate a team of experts, who through their knowledge and expertise, embody true luxury. Our capsule is focused on being an experience-based and sensory space, as these themes are currently at the forefront of the hospitality industry.
